|Castañé, Eduard Ruiz |
Eduard Ruiz Castañé obtained his MD in 1979 (Barcelona University). His specialization in Urology was in 1983 and in Andrology in 1988. He also made a Master in Health Centre Direction. Currently he is the Director of the Andrology Department at the Fundació Puigvert in Barcelona since 2004. He is the Director of the Andrological Research Group of Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica (IIB) Sant Pau, Co-Director of the Master in Clinic Andrology of the Fundació Puigvert, Director of the Andrology Office of the CAU, elected Member of the Executive Council (ExCo) of the European Academy of Andrology (EAA), ESAU Board Member, Associated Member of the ESGURS, Member of the Accreditation Committee of the EAA, and other positions as Editorial Board Member of several Journals. He is author of more than 50 articles published, over 500 papers at national and international conferences, and collaborations in several book chapters on urology and andrology. The main areas of his work are: male sexual dysfunction, infertility, Peyronie's disease, andrological surgery, genital reconstruction and vasectomy. He is membership in several professional affiliations and has participated in both national and international collaborations.

Giovanni Corona works as endocrinologist and andrologist at the Endocrinology Unit of Maggiore-Bologna Hospital, Bologna, Italy. He received the MD degree at the University of Bologna and the Board in Endocrinology and the Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Florence. He received two prestigious awards, one in 2009 from the European Society for Sexual Medicine, “Excellent Award” and the second in 2013 from the International Society of Andrology,the “Young Andrologist Award”. In 2015 he was quoted in the top best European 30 researchers (category “Reproductive Biomedicine” n=11) by the Lab Times (http://labtimes.org/labtimes/ranking/20=15_04/index2.lasso). Since 2014 is a member of the board of the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation. Since 2016 he is a member of the Editorial board of “Andrology”. Since 2018 member of the Editorial board of Hormones. Since July 2010 member of the Editorial board of Journal of Sexual Medicine. From July 2010 to December 2015 nominated Associate Editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine. Since January 2017 re-appointed as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Sexual Medicine. Since 2010 member of the European Society of Endocrinology, and Academician of the European Academy of Andrology (EAA). Since 2015 he has been appointed as the co-chair of the “Guidelines Committee” of the EAA. In 2018 he has been nominated as the President of the Italian Society of Andrology and Sexual Medicine. Since 2018 nominated as the Chair of the scientific committee of the European Society for Sexual Medicine.

Andrea M. Isidori, MD, Ph.D. is a Full Professor of Endocrinology in Italy, Sapienza University of Rome, the largest University Hospital in Italy – and Consultant Andrologist at Policlinico Umberto I of Rome, an EAA accredited site. Since 1999 he has been carrying out translational research in andrology and endocrinology merging basic and clinical approaches. He has contributed to different areas of andrology: from sexual medicine to infertility treatment, from endocrine aspects to testicular tumors, publishing over 190 International Peer-Reviewed articles, with an overall Impact Factor of more than 700 points (h-index 58 – G-scholar). He has been elected member of the Executive Committee of the European Academy of Andrology in 2014 and re-elected in 2018. I has been a member of the International Consultation of Sexual Medicine (ISSM 2015). Since 2017 is the treasurer of the ISA - International Society of Andrology. Prof. Isidori received the Young Andrologist Award from ISA in 2013 in Melbourne and various other awards from Endocrine Societies. He is Associate Editor of the European Journal of Endocrinology (Bioscientifica) and Endocrine (Springer Nature). He has collected and coordinated over 3 million euros in research grants. Prof. Isidori believes in the importance of dissemination of knowledge, the value of translational research -from bench to bedside- and the promotion of a multidimensional andrology addressing fertility, sexual medicine, endocrinology, cardiovascular health and oncology.

Davor Ježek has a double appointment: he is a full professor at School of Medicine University of Zagreb. He is also acting as a Head of Testicular Biobank at Dept. of Transfusion Medicine and Transplantation Biology, University Hospital "Zagreb". His main areas of research/interest are: male infertility, andrology, testicular sperm extraction (TESE), biobanking of testicular biopsies as well as genital ridge development. Currently, Dr Ježek is a co-chair of Centre of Excellence for Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine at School of Medicine University of Zagreb, supported by EU. He is a project partner in several Horizon 2020 and other international projects (BIOCOMET, Alliance4Life, Expand, ODISSeA) and was a principal investigator of many national projects. He published more than 80 publications in internationally renowned journals. Dr Ježek is a member of many international societies in the area of reproductive medicine, including European Academy of Andrology.

Csilla Krausz obtained her MD in 1990 and her specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 1995 at the University of Florence, Italy, and her PhD in Human Genetics in 2001 at the Pasteur Institute/University Paris 7, France. Currently she is Professor in Endocrinology and research group leader at the University of Florence, Italy and co-director of the Florence European Academy of Andrology (EAA) Training Center in Andrology. Her first research field was spermatology with special interest in oxidative stress and functional sperm parameters. Starting from 1995 she is focusing on genetics and epigenetics of male infertility, hypogonadism, cryptorchidism, testis tumor and genomic instability of the male gamete. Her major scientific achievements concern the X and Y chromosome-linked CNVs (deletions) and their clinical significance. She is author of more than 140 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and her H-index: 49 (Scopus). H-index:55 (Google scholar). According to a recent worldwide survey, she is among the top 20 most productive authors on male infertility research from 1995. She is an Academician of the European Academy of Andrology (EAA) and in 2014 has been elected as the President of the EAA for the period 2014-2018 and re-elected in 2018 for a second mandate. In 2017 has been appointed by the ESE as the Clinical Lead of the Reproductive Endocrinology focus area.
|Rajpert-de Meyts, Ewa|
Ewa Rajpert-De Meyts, MD, PhD, DMSc is a senior research consultant at the Department of Growth & Reproduction of Copenhagen University Hospital (Denmark). She trained in paediatrics at the Silesian Medical University in her native Poland, then in basic endocrinology in the De Duve Institute in Brussels, Belgium, in molecular biology in the Division of Medical Genetics, Children's Hospital, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, and in developmental biology and cancer research at her current affiliation in Copenhagen. Her research focus has been on the pathogenesis and diagnosis of different types of germ cell tumours, especially germ cell neoplasia in situ. She is also recognised in the field of developmental aspects of human reproduction, disorders of sex development, and genetics of male infertility. She authored/co-authored more than 250 scientific articles, and her current H index is 61 (Web of Science), 76 (Google Scholar).
She was the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Andrology from 2009 to 2012 and co-Editor-in-Chief of Andrology from 2012 to 2016 (continuing now as Associate Editor). Since 2017 she has served as the chairperson pf the Publication Committee of the European Academy of Andrology (EAA) and since the end of 2018 as the Secretary of the EAA Executive Council. She was the main organizer of several international meetings, including the 18th European Testis Workshop (Elsinore 2014), and four latest Copenhagen Workshops on Testicular Cancer (in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018).
